Experience

Cinde has extensive experience as a legal secretary/paralegal, with a primary focus on litigation support. She joined the Firm in 1997 and has helped manage and organize complex cases often involving multiple plaintiffs and defendants and thousands of documents.

Kim Madsen

EXPERIENCE

Kim Madsen has worked with the Firm as a legal secretary since 1994 and as an office manager since 2006. Although Kim provided litigation support in such cases as Blackwater and Delgamuukw, her focus has shifted to an administrative role with the Firm.

Kim continues to be a key part of our legal team and is strongly committed to assisting the Firm in both secretarial and managerial capacities.

BACKGROUND

Kim is a Gitxsan person and a member of the House of Delgamuukw. She lives near Hazelton in the Village of Sik-E-Dakh which is in Gitxsan territory in northern British Columbia.

Marjorie White

Marjorie White started working in the accounting department on a contract basis with Peter Grant & Associates in 1999 and joined the office in 2002.  Marjorie oversees all aspects of the accounting for Peter Grant & Associates.

Amy Abrahamson

Amy Abrahamson joined our firm in February, 2007.  She works with Allan Early and Brian O'Reilly on our Residential School Claims and with Peter Grant on various litigation issues and with respect to his work on the National Administration Committee which is mandated to deal with the Indian Residential School Settlement.  She is also the liaison person for Independent Counsel who are a group that work on the Indian Residential School claims.  In 2011 she completed a 3 year part-time program at Capilano University and became our newest paralegal.

Andrea Kelly joined our firm in March, 2008. Andrea primarily works on our residential school claims. She works with Lee Schmidt and Jeffrey Huberman on litigation, specific claims, negotiations and other First Nations lands issues.

Anna KristensenAnna Kristensen

Anna Kristensen has been working at Peter Grant & Associates since July 2009. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in 2008 from the University of the Fraser Valley and joined the firm upon her return from an 8 month trip through Central and South America. Anna works in accounting and is primarily responsible for A/R, A/P and billing.

Samantha Sealy will be on maternity leave from February 2012 to March 2013.

Samantha joined our Firm in 2009 after completing her Legal Administrative Assistant practicum with us. She works as reception and on a large number of administrative tasks, but she also provides key legal secretarial support for Myron Barr and Michael Ross on litigation matters, negotiations and other First Nations issues. In addition to working full-time with our Firm, Samantha is currently working towards a degree in legal studies at Douglas College.

Krista Biluk

Krista Biluk joined our firm in January 2011 as a temporary receptionist and began a full-time position in December 2011 as a Legal Administrative Assistant.  Krista primarily works on our residential school claims with Lee Schmidt and on litigation, specific claims, negotiations and other First Nations lands issues with Jeffrey Huberman.
